BSW Real Estate

Tell us about your company!

I’m a residential real estate broker for BSW Real Estate.  I’ve been a real estate broker for 17 years and absolutely love it!

What is your favorite indoor/outdoor activity to do in Wash Park?

I enjoy sitting on a bench there reading or being contemplative.

How has your business changed since the pandemic?

It’s actually gotten better.  When the pandemic hit, I made the decision that I would become more strategic and hyper-focused on my service area and level.

What do you like most about Park coworking?

I love the vibe, the Kombucha bar and the rooftop deck!  Also, I enjoy the area shops and dining. It’s great spot!

What gives you drive and passion to succeed?

My passion comes from God.  I was born two weeks early and have been moving forward ever since!  Beyond that, I love a challenge and always want to see what is possible.  It’s important for me to be a great example to my son as well.  I want him to be inspired by me, and I also always teach him the value of caring for people while pursuing his own dreams and life purpose.

Check out the this post from Denver Real Producers about Erin and her son. Erin is a real inspiration and a great roll model to her son and all young people! Thanks for officing here Erin, we love having you around!

Alpha Cubed Investments

Tell us about your company!

Alpha Cubed is a financial planning and investment management firm.  We work with individuals and small business owners to help them organize all the tentacles of their financial lives and set a path to reach their personal vision of financial success.

What is your favorite indoor/outdoor activity to do in Wash Park?

Indoor-as a family we like to stroll the shops and grab a nice lunch or happy hour on Gaylord.

Outside-we spend a lot of time at the park either doing loops on our bikes or trying to keep up with our 4-year-old on his scooter-I am on my longboard and my wife on her roller skates-we are quite a sight!!!

How has your business changed since the pandemic?

The pandemic has been impactful in two different ways. Of course, the major volatility and uncertainty in the markets caused quite a bit of concern and more in-depth conversations with our clients to reaffirm and sometimes reevaluate their risk tolerance and goals.  The other impact has been a change in communication strategies with clients.  “Zooming” has been great and become a much more acceptable approach to increase the frequency of a “face to face” meeting without the added time and inconvenience of travel to traditional meetings.

What do you like most about Park coworking?

The facilities and community here are amazing, although we are not co-workers in the traditional sense, the comradery is fantastic.   I have built some friendships and business networks with others here which has been an unexpected bonus.  I truly feel like when one person succeeds, we all succeed here!

What do you hope to accomplish with your company?

My objective from day one has been to help clients make sense of this crazy world of finance and protect them from the blind spots in their financial lives.  With that said, I hope to continue to grow my practice with clients who appreciate a holistic view and a fiduciary who looks out for their best interests first.

What gives you drive and passion to succeed?

My family has always driven me to try and be a better person on all levels.  I have an innate desire to help and educate people on financial decisions that can impact their lives immeasurably.  I was tremendously impacted personally and professionally in the economic meltdown in 2008-2009.  I try and utilize my personal experience to help guide clients in setting up strategies that are resilient for those types of scenarios.

Western States Bank

Tell us about your company!

Western States Bank is privately-held, locally-owned and community-minded with 10 branches spanning Colorado, Western Nebraska, and Southeastern Wyoming.  In Colorado, we have offices in Fort Collins and Loveland and opened up our first loan production office in the Park Coworking facility in May 2019.  Our aim is not to be the biggest, but the best at providing premier client service through local decisions, quick responses, and tailored financing.

Opening a new office in Denver has been particularly exciting for me personally.  It has provided an opportunity to help Western States Bank expand into a new market by leveraging existing relationships while also utilizing our existing infrastructure.  The Park office has been the perfect place to incubate the business while we scale up until we move into a full-service branch later in 2021.

What is your favorite indoor/outdoor activity to do in Wash Park?

My favorite outdoor activity in Wash Park is taking my Bernese mountain dog, Dakota, on walks around the neighborhood.  She’s only four months old and comes in with me most every day.  By default, I believe she’s been designated as the office mascot as well as my only co-worker.

How has your business changed since the pandemic?

Beyond the obvious coronavirus restrictions, our business has not changed that dramatically since the pandemic began.  By that, I mean we have continued to serve our clients – most remotely – with empathy and personal attention while making sure customer service continues to be a priority.  When the pandemic really took hold in March 2020, we shifted the majority of our attention and efforts to quickly administering the PPP loan program to both existing clients and those businesses in need.  So, this pulled resources away from what we do in the normal course of business, but was necessary for the times.  We were then able to shift back to doing what we “normally” do in July of last year albeit through a more conservative lens.  At the end of the day, we all trying to help the communities we serve to the best our ability.

What do you like most about Park coworking?

There are many things to appreciate about Park:

  • The people – It has a plethora of interesting people and businesses that you can interact with on a daily basis.   We have a lot of comradery and collaboration within the office.

  • The access – Unlike a traditional office building, you can have instant access to the other businesses in the office which provides a true “captive audience”.   This convenience is immeasurably important to new business.

  • The flexibility – It is open 24/7 so you can come in as early, and work as late on any day that you need to.

  • The amenities – Beyond the great ambiance, we have terrific amenities including multiple conference rooms, roof top deck, bottomless beverages, and event planning.

What do you hope to accomplish with your company?

As stated above, we are aiming to open a full-service location in metro Denver.  Currently, we solely operate as a loan production office which means that we can only source new commercial loans in this market.  As a fully-functioning location, we will be able to source loans and attract both consumer and commercial deposits though a fully-staffed banking team to help fund those loans.

What gives you drive and passion to succeed?

Simply put, making my family proud provides my drive.  I’m a competitive person by nature and am always striving to get better – both professionally and personally.  I certainly believe professional success can lead to personal success (or vice versa) in terms of being able to better support your loved ones.  I also think that the drive to succeed is innate – either you have ambition or you don’t and I sure I hope I do!

I feel fortunate that I get to do work I love every day! UNCHARTED, creates the best places to work using a unique data-driven method to pinpoint employee motivation. We support this with coaching services to create cultures that attract and retain top talent.

What is your favorite indoor/outdoor activity to do in Wash Park?

Meeting friends to walk around Wash Park has been one of my favorite ways to continue to connect in 2020.

How has your business changed since the pandemic?

When we first shut down, many of our larger projects were placed on pause. Recognizing the significant need that existed across the country, we searched for opportunities to fill our time with pro bono work, which was an unexpected and rewarding experience this year. We’re happy to see projects coming back and look forward to that trend continuing.

What do you like most about Park coworking?

It’s a beautiful space, and I always enjoy learning more about the work other members do. I’m looking forward to the day we can all reconnect in-person.

What do you hope to accomplish with your company?

I believe there’s a better way to approach work, a way that adds to and supports a fulfilling life rather than detracting from it. With 66% of people worldwide not engaged or actively disengaged in their job, we look forward to continuing to transform the cultures of organizations to help individuals and companies thrive.
